Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies (SALISES)

Professor George Saridakis, an Honorary Professor at SALISES, has been elected to the prestigious Academy of Social Sciences.

This fellowship is reserved for distinguished scholars who have made significant contributions to the field of social sciences. Professor Saridakis has collaborated closely with colleagues from SALISES and the Economics Department, working alongside several of our Ph.D. students. Together, they have authored numerous papers focusing on the Caribbean economy and international trade, which have been published in reputable academic journals.

Dr. Sookram, Director, SALISES, extends her warmest congratulations to Professor Saridakis.  This honour is evidence of his outstanding contributions to the field, and we are privileged to have him as an Honorary Professor with us. Professor Saridakis’ dedication to research excellence and mentorship has greatly enriched our academic community, and we look forward to continued collaboration and success together.
