one island of a twin island democratic republic nation
within the Commonwealth. It has a population of approximately

in the variety of food and music that is readily available.

CARNIVAL
FESTIVITIES
A two-day festival driven by intoxicating music, Trinidad
and Tobago Carnival is scheduled for February 27th
and 28th, 2006. This festival, our most famous cultural
phenomenon, best evidences the freedom, spirit and
power of our multi-ethnic society. It is a rainbow
to behold, full of traditions and innovations, color
and noise. The full-scale abandon on the streets,
the creative essence of the street masquerade with
its thousands of costumes, hundreds of calypsos and
awe-inspiring steelband performances is as honest
a reflection of local character as possible.
